In the summer of 2019, Sensei Rempel completed a decades-long project to re-film the core katas and weapons katas. This also included filming the Shin Taiko kata series, which encompasses the teachings of Sensei Masaru Shintani and filming of the Shin Ibuki kata series that emphasizes the importance of breathing and core in Karate training.
The AKF Kata & History film offers a glimpse into the over 40 year history of our organization. Sensei Rempel speaks to how the organization was established, key members in its development and growth, and highlights the current kata series. The film features original score and was produced locally in Edmonton.
